European Complex Systems Society

"The European Complex systems Society (ECSS) has been the subject of discussion in the complex systems community for a few years. It has moved forward through the EC Cordinated action GIACS, which has a work package aimed at getting a European society running. That responsibility for that workpackage lies with Paul Bourgine (Ecole Polytechnique, France), Mina Teicher (Barl Ilan University, Israel), and Jeffrey Johnson (Open University, UK). These three have worked together during 2004 to prepare draft statues and by-laws for presentation to the community at the European Conference on Complex Systems at the ISI Foundation in Torino, 5-8 December 2004. "
